Platform · Fee Transparency

Every fee, governed from one place.

Fee transparency often stops at marketing or listing presentation. NOVY keeps configured fees, disclosures, and their history connected through the leasing workflow — what the renter sees carries through to what they sign.

01 · Configure

One governed fee library

Fees are configured once, at the property or portfolio level — amount, frequency, category. Edits are recorded, not overwritten. Watch the returned payment fee: it's about to travel through the whole workflow.

02 · Present

The renter sees it before committing

The same configured charges build the renter's cost breakdown — application, move-in, monthly, move-out — with Due today stated before any commitment point.

03 · Carry

The application inherits the numbers

At checkout, the household cart shows the same configured totals the renter was quoted, carrying the fee structure forward from the earlier presentation into the application.

04 · Sign

The lease is checked against the library

Configured charges carry into lease generation — documents from Blue Moon, e-signature through DocuSign. Where a document value differs from the fee schedule, readiness review surfaces it as an advisory — acknowledged, never silently passed.

05 · Audit

The history writes itself

Every fee edit, override, and acknowledgment lands in an append-only audit record with who, when, and what changed — so what was actually presented can be reconstructed later.

What changes

The same numbers, application to signature

When configured charges carry forward instead of being rebuilt, three things stop happening.

Operator

No number-chasing

Teams stop deciding which figure is current, reconciling listings against lease documents, and re-keying charges between systems.

Portfolio

One operating model

Fee presentation becomes standard across properties — configured at the portfolio level, applied consistently, visible in one place.

Risk & compliance

A reconstructable history

What was presented, when it changed, and who acknowledged variances is documented in an append-only audit record — supporting consistent disclosure practices.

Connected system

What this capability inherits, and what it gives

Fee Transparency is one step in one governed leasing workflow — each step builds on what came before.

Inherits from upstream
  • Configured fee and disclosure rules from property and portfolio settings
  • Unit and pricing context from the application in progress
  • Household details that trigger conditional charges — pets, vehicles, guarantors
Gives downstream
  • Configured charges carried into lease generation and the fee schedule check
  • Recorded presentation — what the renter saw, preserved with the application
  • Fee events — edits, overrides, acknowledgments — written to the audit record
